BASIC FUNCTION

Working within Estera’s overall BD and marketing strategy, with guidance from the BD Director to:

  • Develop and implement Estera Guernsey’s BD strategy and plan plus oversight of Malta and Belfast BD
  • Build and reinforce the Estera brand in Guernsey, Belfast and Malta through business development activities with key clients and intermediaries as well as communications, promotion and PR on and off island

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

BD planning and implementation

  • Work with the BD Director and local management team to create and implement Guernsey BD and marketing plans and budgets
  • Develop and implement service line marketing plans
  • Monitor BD effectiveness, measure ROI
  • Pipeline oversight including “at risk”, referrals etc
  • Prepare for and chair monthly Guernsey BD meetings including pipeline review, revenue progress and key client programme information

Client/intermediary relationships and targeting

  • Develop and implement key client/client review programmes
  • Conduct research and analyse information on target and key clients and target markets
  • Support and advise on launch and promotion of new markets and products

Promotion and PR

  • Work with marcomms to build the Estera brand in Guernsey using PR, digital, print etc
  • Work with marcomms to identify and coordinate attendance at and sponsorship of industry events and maintain jurisdictional BD events calendar
  • Target industry bodies to partner with and build awareness of Estera’s products, people and services

Pitches and collateral

  • Support the preparation of proposals and pitches where appropriate
  • Manage jurisdiction and service line marketing collateral
  • Project specific work, eg new pipeline, CRM replacement etc

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • A marketing or business degree and/or a professional marketing qualification
  • Business development experience, some of which is within a professional services environment
  • Outstanding written skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Creativity, initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • The ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
