BASIC FUNCTION:

The Learning and Development Officer is core to supporting the delivery of Estera’s global learning and development strategy.  They will support the Learning and Development Manager in implementing the strategy including; identifying staff learning and development needs, planning, organising and overseeing appropriate training, administering the Learning Management System (LMS) and supporting in the design, delivery and evaluation of blended learning solutions across a range of categories such as induction, systems and technical training.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute in the design, development and delivery of training and development solutions across a full range of categories to include but not limited to systems training, technical, leadership and management and induction training for new joiners.
  • Facilitate in the sourcing and management of cost effective, quality training by third party training providers in line with business needs and within budget.
  • Assist with design and development of system upgrade materials including users guides, organise pilot groups for testing, coordinate and compile feedback on the same.
  • Develop, administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) including the setting up and administration of training programmes, courses and resources.
  • Contribute in the design and development of eLearning  courses using Storyline or other eLearning authoring tools as identified .
  • Evaluate, amend and revise learning and development programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment.
  • Manage and maintain training policies and procedures.
  • Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research.
  • Assist with reporting on L&D across the Group.
  • Any other such duties that may be reasonably required for your role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Prior experience, preferably from within a professional services environment is essential.
  • A recognised learning and development professional qualification is desirable but not essential. 
  • Experience in a training design including eLearning development would be advantageous.
  • Experience of delivering systems and induction training would be beneficial.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to enable you to work with people at all levels motivate others and influence people's attitudes when necessary.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Ability to create and develop a variety of learning and development solutions for a variety of individual learning needs.
  • Excellent organisational, written and oral communication skills are essential together with a high level of professionalism.
  • Energy and enthusiasm to support the future growth and success of the Group with a desire to embrace and drive change in an evolving environment.
