The SSRS/BI Analyst's primary function is to work directly with the offices across all jurisdictions to analyse business report requirements and then create the desired reports within the SSRS framework.  Collating data from multiple business systems, both on premise and cloude based, to create reports with significant depth and the ability to drill down further.


  • Perform analysis and report creation of corporate financial data.
  • Work closely with the Applications and Development team to continually improve the Groups reporting capabilities to ensure all employees in the group have ready access to information across our range of systems in an easily accessible and understandable form.
  • Maintain the reporting data warehouse within the organisation.
  • Develop standards for best practices for reporting, marketing and educating the business on available reporting tools within the business.
  • Ensure that the business knows whom to approach when requesting a report.
  • Provide the tools for executives to make strategic decisions.


Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of T-SQL including: relational database design; and creating SQL view, functions and stored procedures; creating linked-server queries; and dimensional databases.
  • 5 years or more experience with MS SQL Server Analysis, Integrations, Reporting Services (SSAS/SSIS/SSRS).
  • Knowledge of ETL methodologies and tools.
  • MS Excel skills / VBA experience.
  • Knowledge of financial platforms.
  • Proficiency in T-SQL and SQL based scripting.
  • Data Warehouse exposure.
  • ETL and data modeling experience
  • .NET platform experience with C# or VB.NET


  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Describing complex technical information to non-technical professionals.

Data Analysis / Problem Solving

  • Strong visual design skills used in creating information dense, easy to understand reports and dashboards.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative multi-jurisdictional environment.
  • Ability to make clear suggestions or solutions to help business decision making.
